Rainfall from scattered storms Tuesday led to flooding and road closures near Lewisville Lake.[[311160391,L]]
The intersection of Highland Village Road and I-35E near Lewisville Lake was blocked due to flooding Tuesday night. The intersection, as well as a portion of Highland Village Road, remained closed for rush hour traffic Wednesday morning.
The water also blocked the southbound exit from I-35E onto Garden Ridge Boulevard.
The rain caused water levels to rise quickly, but the water should go down just as quickly as long as there is no more rain, authorities said.
