Stephen Jones Has High Hopes For The Cowboys Heading Into Camp

The Dallas Cowboys will report to Oxnard, California for the start of training camp in just over a week. There were a lot of high expectations for the Cowboys this time last year after coming off of a 12-4 regular season in 2014.  But the club didn't taste the same success last season, Jason Garrett's club dealt with a number of injuries that contributed to their dismal season.

Quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken left collarbone during their win against the Philadelphia Eagles in the second game of the season and missed eight weeks. He returned to lead the Cowboys to a win against the Miami Dolphins, but re-injured his shoulder against the Carolina Panthers and was done for the season. Romo missed 12 games on the season and the Cowboys had just one win in his absense.

Receiver Dez Bryant missed seven total games in 2015 because of a foot injury. Both Romo and Bryant had surgeries to fix their injuries and should be ready to go for camp and the Cowboys tell us that they will take it slow with both players during their practices in Oxnard.

Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones is excited about about having Romo and Bryant back on the field but he also added that there are other factors that has him excited about the 2016.
