Beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m., state Highway 183 between Crosslands Road and Hulen Street in southwest Fort Worth will be reduced to one lane.
The reduction in lanes is part of a reconstruction and lowering of the 183 main lanes by approximately 40 feet.
The $117 million access improvement project is in preparation for the future state Highway 121/Chisholm Trail Parkway.
The project will construct several new bridges, access ramps and new parkway frontage roads as well as lowering and rebuilding 183's main lanes.
Completion is scheduled for spring 2013.
