Southlake Title Company Owner Booked into Tarrant County Jail

Woman faces charges she stole millions from failed company

A woman accused of stealing millions of dollars from a Southlake title company she owned is being held in the Tarrant County Jail Wednesday on $1 million bond.

Nancy Jackson Carroll, 45, was transported on a bus with other prisoners from a jail near Chicago, where she was arrested last month.

Carroll owned Millennium Title Company, which was taken over by the Texas Department of Insurance in January.

Regulators said Carroll vanished after stealing $3 million from her company’s escrow accounts. Millions more may have disappeared from separate investor accounts.

At the time of her arrest near Chicago, she was living in a $1.6 million luxury home and driving a Mercedez Benz S63, prosecutors said. Police seized the car and investigators have frozen several of her bank accounts.
