Southlake Implements Stage 1 Water Restrictions

Southlake is implementing Stage 1 water restrictions, requiring everyone to follow a twice-a-week watering schedule.

Residential addresses ending in an even number can water Wednesday and Saturday while those with an odd number can water Thursday and Sunday.  The city's press release included examples of even and odd numbers, but I'm removing those assuming/hoping you, the reader, know what they are.

Non-residential addresses including businesses, HOAs, parks, medians, etc., can water on Tuesday and Friday.

No lawn or landscape watering is permitted on Monday.

All watering must be done either before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m., not in between.

Southlake, like most cities in Tarrant County, buys water from the Tarrant Regional Water District.  The TRWD said last week they expected to impose Stage 1 restrictions district-wide by Sept. 1.

Anyone with questions about the city's water conservation programs can visit the city's website or call Environmental Coordinator Christi Upton at 817-748-8638.
