Arlington police said they arrested a driver who struck a 15-year-old with his car and drove away Monday afternoon.
Officers were called at about 4:50 p.m. to the 1900 block of Park Row, where they said the teenager was skateboarding when struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Arlington Police Department spokeswoman Tiara Richard said 25-year-old Omar Velazquez returned to the crash scene with a relative a short time later.
Velazquez faces a charge of accident involving serious bodily injury. Bail was set at $5,000.
The teen was transported to John Peter Smith hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
