The Whitewright Police Department discontinued a Silver Alert for a man reported missing Friday afternoon after he was located in Sherman.
Police told KTEN-TV 76-year-old Clarence Dean Peavey disappeared after a visit to the doctor's office. He was allegedly upset when doctors told him he needed to be in a nursing home.
Whitewright police say Peavey checked himself into a hotel in Sherman but locked his keys in his truck. Police say the locksmith he called for help recognized him and called local police.
The Grayson County Sheriff's Office picked Peavey up. Police say he's in good health and has been taken to a rehab facility.
