Selena Gomez Hospitalized

Grand Prairie native and star of Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place" Selena Gomez was hospitalized after an appearance on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"Last night after Selena's appearance on The Tonight Show, she wasn't feeling well and was taken to the hospital. She is currently undergoing routine tests," her rep tells People magazine.

The hospitalization was first reported by TMZ, which said Gomez suffered from nausea and a headache before going to a Los Angeles-area hospital.

The 18-year-old singer-actress was promoting the upcoming film Monte Carlo on the talk show.

She is scheduled to make a special appearance at Grapevine Mills on Tuesday, June 14. No word yet if that appearance has been canceled, but Gomez did cancel a Friday appearance at a mall in Santa Monica.

During the appearance at the Grapevine Mills food court Gomez was expected to take part in a 45-minute Q&A session with fans.

It wouldn't be Gomez's first trip back to North Texas, she and her boyfriend, 17-year-old singing sensation Justin Bieber, were spotted at Game 4 of the NBA Finals at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday, and on Memorial Day weekend she and Bieber were spotted at The Parks Mall in Arlington and Six Flags Over Texas.

Gomez talked to Leno about growing up in Grand Prairie and her mom meeting Bieber.

When Leno asked Gomez if her parents had met her famous boyfriend, she said yes, adding, "He passed the test."

Gomez also talked about her mother who was an actress in stage productions in North Texas.
