Arlington Police report a person has come forward in the case of a man killed in a hit and run incident early Saturday morning. The victim was discovered in the westbound lanes of I-30 between Fielder Road and Davis Drive.
The department said the victim was identified as Carlos Ortega Ramos, 37, of Arlington. It's unclear why he was on I-30.
The victim was discovered after another car swerved to avoid hitting the man. An Arlington Fire Department vehicle witnessed the swerving and then discovered the victim deceased in the roadway.
Officers determined the vehicle involved in the crash is a 2011-2013 Volkswagen Jetta with extensive damage to the car's front grill and grill emblem. Police said the vehicle has been located.
As of now, no charges have been filed in the case.
