Weatherford School Bus Victim of Hit-and-Run

Hit-and-run driver was in a Ford F-350

Weatherford police are looking for the driver of a Ford F-350 work truck after a hit-and-run with a school bus on Tuesday morning.

Weatherford ISD told NBC 5 the bus was traveling eastbound on Bethel Road just before Main Street when the crash happened.

The driver of the truck drove into the school bus with such force that it was pushed into a Ford Taurus.

Everyone inside the Taurus appeared to be okay, according to an email sent to NBCDFW by the school district.

Grant Priess, director of operations, safety and security with the district, said one student was taken to Weatherford Regional Medical Center complaining of back and neck pain.

The students were on their way to the Auto Tech facility located at the district's 9th Grade Center at the time of the crash.
