Sanger Man Killed in Freak Motorcycle Accident in Denton

A freak accident on a North Texas freeway killed a Sanger man.  It happened on I-35 southbound Tuesday near West University Drive.

Denton Police say 23-year-old Brady Burger was riding his motorcycle, when two wheels from a northbound 18-wheeler came loose, flew over the divider, and struck Burger, killing him on impact.

His family says Burger began riding dirt bikes at a young age, and frequently rode his motorcycle with friends.  They describe him as kind, compassionate and a hard worker who loved to play baseball growing up.

Burger was on his way to a local motorcycle shop when he was killed.

"He was a very skillful rider.  That's what he loved to do," said Jasyn Edwards, the victim's cousin.  "That bike was his baby.  He died doing what he loved."

Denton police are still investigating but say the truck driver did stop.  Friends plan a motorcycle ride in Burger's memory on Friday.
