San Antonio Man Accused of Stealing Ambulance

A 44-year-old man is being questioned in the theft of a San Antonio Fire Department ambulance.

Police say the ambulance was stolen around midday Wednesday from outside a motel in northeastern San Antonio, where paramedics were treating a patient.

Police Sgt. Javier Salazar officers used GPS technology to track the vehicle for four miles. He says it rammed two patrol cars before it slammed into a third and stopped just before noon. The suspect was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody. No other injuries were reported.

Salazar says the man was reported to be upset over his eviction from an apartment.
