Salvation Army Preparing Thanksgiving Dinner

The Salvation Army is stepping up to feed more than 2,000 people for Thanksgiving.

The Salvation Army homeless shelter in Dallas is preparing a Thanksgiving feast where volunteers have been cooking for two weeks.

The grocery list includes 1,200 pounds of turkey, 600 pounds of mashed potatoes and 500 pounds of green beans.

Volunteers said they are happy to spend the holiday giving back.
