SWAT Surrounds W. Fort Worth Home

No schools on lockdown during the standoff

A SWAT team surrounded a home in Fort Worth's west side Thursday afternoon while pursuing a man suspected of robbing a Benbrook bank.

Benbrook police said a man in a ski mask entered the American National Bank in the 6000 block of Southwest Boulevard and displayed a weapon at about 2:05 p.m. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Fort Worth police officers surrounded the home on the 6400 block of Greenway Drive, off Camp Bowie Boulevard south of Interstate 30, at about 3 p.m.

A man at the home surrendered to police and was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

No schools were placed on lockdown during the standoff.
