Fort Worth Robbery Suspect Captured with Hostage

Arrest ends manhunt that began Thursday afternoon in Fort Worth

Police say the man suspected of robbing the Frost Bank in Downtown Fort Worth held a woman hostage in a motel until he was captured Saturday morning.

Dee Ingram, 54, triggered a manhunt in Fort Worth after he allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded cash from a teller at the Frost Bank at 777 Main Street Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money and he ordered all the employees to go into a back bathroom.

Detectives received a Crime Stoppers tip that Ingram may have kidnapped a woman. Police said he was referenced in earlier tips as being the robbery suspect and was found with a woman at the Valley View Motel at 5200 Mansfield Highway.

Zero Tolerance Officers arrested the suspect in a nearby gas station without any shots fired.

Police said Ingram was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping after he confessed to both crimes. The handgun used in both offenses, an airsoft pistol, was also recovered.

No injuries were reported in either the robbery or arrest, but the woman held hostage was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

The woman's identity was not immediately released.
