Road Closures in DFW This Weekend

The DFW area can expect several road closures this weekend.

Southbound Dallas North Tollway at Interstate 35E will have closures from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Jan. 31 for maintenance. The southbound Dallas North Tollway to I-35E direct-connector ramp will be closed and the southbound right lane from Oak Lawn Avenue to the I-35E exit ramp will remain closed. Left and center lanes will remain open. The closures are for repairs to a crash cushion.

North and southbound mainlines as well as the northbound frontage road on U.S. Highway 75 will be closed between Haskell Avenue and Fitzhugh Avenue at 8 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 1 for the implosion of a 12-story building at the southeast corner of the U.S. 75 northbound frontage road and North Carroll Avenue. Traffic will be stopped for approximately 15 to 20 minutes for roadway inspection and for the dust to clear.

In Irving all lanes of northbound Loop 12 from Union Bower to state Highway 114 will be closed nightly beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday Feb. 1. The bridge has a temporary clearance height of 14 feet 11 inches at this time. Backups are expected, and detours will be marked.

All westbound lanes of Interstate 635 between Marsh and Webb Chapel will be closed from 9 p.m. Jan. 30 until 6 a.m. Feb. 2.

Eastbound and westbound between Webb Chapel and I-35E will be closed nightly Jan. 8-31 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Lanes will be closed eastbound and westbound between Welch and Coit nightly Jan. 8 to June 8 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
