Reward Offered in Downtown Dallas Club Shooting

Schepp's Dairy is offering a reward in the weekend shooting death of a Southern Methodist University graduate outside a downtown club.

Chane Waldron was gunned down early Sunday morning outside of the 2026 Ultra Lounge on Commerce Street in downtown Dallas as she waited for a friend.

Her friends say she was a people person who was always ready for smile.

Her best friend, Emily Graham, said she is having trouble dealing with her friend's slaying.

"She is the sun that we all revolve around," Graham said. "I mean, we were all her stars, and she was the sun -- the center of the universe."

Waldron graduated from SMU in 2007, and the two were Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority sisters, she said. Waldron worked for Pier One in the communications department, Graham said.

"She loved her job," she said. "She drove 40 miles each way, every day from North Dallas to her job in Fort Worth because she loved it. She was a people person."

Dallas police said they don't think Waldron was the target.

Detectives said they want to talk to two men last seen in a blue, late-model Chevy Silverado with rims.
