Early registration is underway for the annual Tarrant County Back to School Roundup.
This year's roundup takes place on Aug. 20, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Will Rogers Memorial Center's Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall.
The Back to School Roundup provides free school supplies to about 10,000 pre-registered students who will attend pre-K through 12th grade and who meet specific eligibility requirements. Roundup also will offer families health, dental and vision screenings, immunizations, haircuts and information on education, health and social services. Plus, pre-K through 5th grade students will receive a free backpack. Other highlights will include musical entertainment, kids activities, games, interactive demonstrations and more.
To take part, families must meet 2015 Federal Income HHS Poverty Guidelines, be a resident of Tarrant County and they must register by Aug. 15 to attend. Complete registration requirements can be read here.
