Residents of a Grand Prairie neighborhood said they are concerned after recent heavy rain caused their land to shift.
Some homeowners on Bayfront Drive — near Mountain Creek Lake — have noticed their yards shifting or even sinking.
"We've been having problems with the ground past the retaining wall," resident Franklin Chan said. "It's been eroding little by little."
Homeowner Richard Beruman said the ground shifted all the way up to the house. He said he woke up Sunday morning and laughed when he saw the damage to his lot.
"It might sound dumb to laugh," he said. "I just laughed because it's either that or cry."
