Owner of Cridder Catchers, Lawrence "Lon" Menefee plead no contest to his charge of inhumane treatment of an animal.
On June 23, a raccoon was trapped in Menefee's cage at the Marquis apartments in Richardson for 12 hours.
Wildlife rescuer Bonnie Bradshaw was called to help the animal and took Menefee's cages. Menefee pursued charges of theft against Bradshaw. She was found not guilty last week.
Menefee was fined $150 and given 180 days of probation.
