A power outage at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Sunday caused major delays for travelers across the country, including here in North Texas.

The Atlanta airport posted to their Twitter account stating they lost power shortly after 1 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration was forced to order a ground stop for flights headed to ATL, and many other flights inbound to Atlanta were diverted.

An investigationg by Georgia Power found a fire was the likely cause of the outage. The fire reportedly damaged an underground electrical facility, according to a press release.
