Possible White Powder Letter Received at Baylor Grapevine

Letter was never opened; no injuries have been reported

A possible white powder envelope has been found at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine Monday afternoon.

According to Grapevine police, a letter arrived addressed to a doctor who received a white powder envelope last year.  The doctor no longer works at the hospital, and didn't when the letter was received last year either.

The person handling the envelope felt there was a substance inside of the envelope and reported it at about 1 p.m.  The letter was not opened and no one was exposed to the contents.

The ER was closed briefly, but has since reopened.  There have been no evacuations, but the main entrance to the hospital is closed.

Baylor Grapevine is located at 1650 West College Street.

The FBI is investigating the incident with postal inspectors and the Grapevine Police Department.
