A Dallas police officer was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday after he allegedly fled the scene of an crash, Plano police said.
Senior Cpl. David Aguilar was involved in a wreck at Custer Road and Plano Parkway at about 1 a.m., police said.
Plano officers arrested Aguilar at Parkhaven Drive and Independence Parkway a few minutes later.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, the Dallas Police Department said.
Aguilar is a 12-year veteran of the department who was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
