    Body of Apparent Drowning Victim has Been Recovered at Lake Grapevine

    According to Grapevine Assistant Fire Chief Stuart Grant, the victim, whose identity has not been released, was riding on a boat with another man when he fell overboard and didn't resurface. (Published Tuesday, July 11, 2017)

    The body of an apparent drowning victim was recovered Tuesday evening at Lake Grapevine, officials said.

    According to Grapevine Assistant Fire Chief Stuart Grant, the victim — identified as 70-year-old Lester Noble — was riding on a boat with another man when he fell overboard and didn't resurface.

    Dive crews were called at about 8:45 p.m. to the area near the 3000 block of Lakeridge Drive to search, and they recovered Noble's body at about 9 p.m.

    The medical examiner's office will make a determination on the manner and cause of Noble's death.
