Police Blotter: Sept. 22, 2014

Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Sept. 22, 2014.

Early-Morning Police Chase
A man is in jail after leading Grand Prairie police and deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department on a chase early Monday morning. Deputies tried pulling over a black Lincoln on Stemmons Freeway near Woodall Rodgers but the driver took off instead. The car blew a tire but the driver continued on until the front end of the car collapsed on U.S Highway 175 near Lake June Road. Deputies said the man had a felony warrant for aggravated assault.  He's now expected to face charges for evading arrest.

One Injured in Lake Highlands Shooting
One person was hospitalized over the weekend after a shooting in Lake Highlands. The shooting took place on the 9700 block of Forest Lane, though few other details have been confirmed by police. NBC 5 has learned that two people were taken into custody, but no further information has been released.  The condition of the victim is not known.

Man Shot, Body Found Near Wrecked Pickup: Fort Worth Police
Fort Worth police are investigating the discovery of a man's body near a wrecked pickup truck. A man was shot multiple times and killed, according to Fort Worth police. His body was found in field just several feet away from a wrecked pickup truck off of Wichita Street.  The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Read more here.
