Deputies Say Toddler Death 'Very Disturbing'
Hunt County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the murder of a 2-year-old boy deputies described as "very disturbing." Dispatchers in Hunt County received a 911 call around 6 a.m. Sunday with the report of a child who had stopped breathing. The caller told 911 that two adults were headed to the hospital with the child. The dispatcher had them stop at Interstate 30 and Farm-to-Market Road 513 in Hunt County because there had been an accident on the freeway and emergency personnel were already at that location. Chief Deputy Joe Knight said the paramedics determined the child was already dead as soon as they began to treat him. Read more here.

Motorcycle Rider Dies in Crash
The northbound lanes of state Highway 360 near Interstate 20 in Arlington were closed for five hours overnight after a motorcycle crash.  Investigators said it appears 20-year-old rider Dustin Armstrong of Cedar Hill was speeding when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a guardrail at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Investigators said several other cars were involved in the crash and they are still trying to sort out exactly what happened.

Fire Rips Through Plano Apartment
A 1-alarm fire spread through the attic of an apartment complex in Plano Monday morning. The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. at the complex on 1800 W. Spring Creek Parkway.  No injuries were reported.  The fire was in a small space between the second and third floors.  There is water and smoke damage to two units, but nothing major. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
