Mom Arrested After Child Cut With Knife
Dallas police officers arrested a woman Monday morning after responding to a cutting call at about 6:30 a.m. According to police, a woman called 911 and told operators that she had cut her child. Officers arrived at the home on the 10900-block of Marchant Circle a short time later and found a 1-year-old child who had been cut with a knife. The child was transported to Children's Medical Center where she underwent surgery. She is expected to recover. The child's mother has been arrested and charged with injury to a child. She is currently being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center. Child abuse detectives have been called to the scene and the Dallas police are investigating.

Dallas House Fire Under Investigation
Investigators are working to determine what caused an early-morning house fire in Dallas Monday. The fire started just after 3 a.m. in the 7900-block of Silverdale Drive.  Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the vacant home.  There were no injuries reported.

Argument Over Money Leads to Shooting in Arlington
Arlington police say a man was shot during an argument about money.  Police found the victim at the Studio Plus Motel on East Lamar Monday morning.  Investigators are searching for the gunman.
