Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Aug. 12, 2011.

Marijuana Grow House Bust
Drug enforcement agents have arrested a Dallas man who they said ran a complex indoor marijuana growth operation from his house. Each bedroom allegedly had 40-50 plants inside and the man had installed a complex lighting and venting system for the plants. There was also a complex electrical breaker system that controlled the electricity to the three rooms and a timing device used to activate the grow lights.

Woman Cut From Car
Dallas firefighters cut a trapped woman from her car Thursday morning. Witnesses told police a man hit the woman’s Honda head-on with his Lincoln after traversing the northbound lane onto the southbound lane of Central Expressway and Royal Lane. Ahmed Figueroa-Jimenez, 31, was arrested on a charge of intoxication assault. Police said Figueroa-Jimenez was going at least highway speeds, and one witness told investigators that the Lincoln was speeding -- faster than 80 mph. Both the woman and Figueroa were taken to Baylor Hospital in serious condition, according to the Dallas Morning News. Figueroa-Jimenez told investigators that he didn’t know where he had been before the accident and that he wasn’t sure how much alcohol he consumed, according to police documents.

Man Drowns At Grapevine Lake
A boater drowned at a launch ramp at Grapevine Lake Thursday morning. Ronald Powell, 57, of Grapevine had just unloaded his boat at the Katie’s Woods ramp when an accident occurred. Powell started his car with the boat trailer attached and accidentally backed into the water. The car and trailer sank, police said, and he wasn't able to free himself.
