San Antonio police have arrested a woman believed to be the mother of a newborn boy found dead at a recycling center.
Police on Tuesday night arrested 25-year-old Nidia Yolibeth Alvarado on a capital murder charge.
A medical examiner has ruled that the infant found dead on Dec. 23 in a duffel bag was strangled. Police received several tips after the body was discovered by a recycling worker.
Police on Wednesday did not immediately provide information on bond or an attorney for Alvarado, who was arrested at a San Antonio apartment.
