Police: 3 Injured in Shooting at Dallas Hotel

Police said they're searching for the person who shot two people at a Dallas hotel early Tuesday morning.

Dallas police said the shooter targeted three people and shot two of them in a third-floor room at the Orange Extended Stay Hotel in the 10300 block of Finnell Street at about 7:30 a.m.

A third man was in the room, but police said he jumped through a window to avoid being shot, breaking his ankle in the process.

All three victims were taken to nearby hospitals where officers said they are in stable condition, according to police.

Investigators said they are canvassing the area to find the shooter. Dallas police spokeswoman Chinh Le said investigators are trying to determine a motive in the shooting.

"Their detectives are interviewing witnesses," she said.

A hotel employee told NBC 5 that he thinks the shooting began as an altercation concerning a woman.
