Police said a man is dead after being shot multiple times at a Fort Worth home Friday morning.
Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Sgt. Steve Enright told NBC 5 that officers found the 29-year-old man dead in the 1500 block of Willow Park Drive at about 3:45 a.m.
“Officers arrived on the scene and found a deceased male in the bedroom of the residence of this house,” he said.
Two children were also in the house when police arrived, authorities said. Officers put a woman and the children in a patrol vehicle.
Police said they are still investigating the incident and trying to determine the identity of the shooter.
"We don’t expect this to be any situation where we have someone running around on a rampage," Enright said. "We always want to be aware of our surroundings.”
Resident Raleigh Wilson said incidents like this are unusual for their neighborhood.
“It’s kind of disturbing that things like that go on around here," neighbor Andre Cheeks said. "I really thought this was a nicer side of town."
