Police said they arrested a man who barricaded himself inside a unit at a Plano apartment complex Tuesday morning.
Plano police said the person shot a man in the leg and ran into an apartment at the Woodlands of Plano in the 1300 block of Sherrye Drive at about 1:15 a.m.
The person who was shot was taken to a hospital with injuries that police said were not life threatening.
Officials said dozens of police units surrounded the apartment and evacuated a few nearby homes. A SWAT team was called to assist just after 3 a.m.
Police said they took the man into custody at about 6:45 a.m.
No further details have been released.
