Plano police are trying to figure out who killed 68-year-old Larry Brandt in his Plano duplex.
Brandt was found Friday morning at 8 a.m. by his daughter. Police said he had severe trauma to his head.
"We're not sure if it's blunt force trauma or if it's a gunshot." said Officer Rick McDonald, of the Plano Police Department.
Detectives said they found signs of a fight inside the duplex in the 3900 block of San Mateo Drive. Officers also found some of Brandt’s belonging scattered in the front lawn.
"Some kind of altercation did take place here. Maybe even a burglary could have taken place," McDonald said.
Neighbors said Brandt ran a successful lawn care business, and was getting ready for a busy spring season.
