New Evidence Shown of Eric Williams' Weapons Stockpile

Jurors Tuesday saw new evidence of the weapons stockpile Capital Murder defendant Eric Williams kept in a Seagoville storage unit.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Dianna Strain displayed pictures of the 206 items recovered in an April 13, 2013 search of the unit.  The items include firearms, ammunition, knives, tactical gear, law enforcement raid jackets and emblems.  Prosecutors displayed many of the items in court.

Evidence for last week’s conviction was based on the March 2013 murders of District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia in their Forney Home. Now in the punishment phase of the trial, prosecutors are adding evidence on the January 2013 murder of Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse as aggravating circumstances to justify the death penalty.
