A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday evening near a busy intersection in North Richland Hills, according to police.[[292312991,L]]
First responders from North Richland Hills and Hurst were called after 9 p.m. to Precinct Line Road and Grapevine Highway.
Police said 49-year-old Luther Norton ran from the north side of Grapevine Highway toward the south side when a driver hit him.
The driver stopped immediately and stayed at the scene, police said.
Norton was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Authorities said he died at the hospital.
Charges are not expected against the driver, police said, because there was no crosswalk.
