Parker Woman Pleads Guilty to $2M Fraud

A Parker woman who helped keep the books for a drilling company has pleaded guilty in a $2 million embezzlement scheme.

Brenda Duncan pleaded guilty Wednesday to mail fraud.

A federal magistrate in Sherman did not immediately set a sentencing date for the 53-year-old Duncan, whose job was to pay accounts for Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions in Garland.

Investigators say Duncan embezzled the money from June 2009 through March 2010 using wire transfers and set up a bank account with a name that was similar to a legitimate vendor.
