Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Dorothy Aderholt, the Pantego mayor who died Friday after a battle with brain cancer.
Aderholt was a longtime community volunteer with many service-based organizations including the Humane Society, the Arlington Arts League, the Arlington Alliance for Youth, the Pantego Lions Club and the North Texas Super Bowl Committee.
Aderholt was first elected mayor of the town four years ago after dedicating 25 years of her life to the betterment of the town. Additionally, Aderholt was a nominee for the Star-Telegram's 2003 Woman of the Year.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale. Graveside services will be at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
