The two right lanes of eastbound LBJ are blocked Saturday morning after a gravel truck overturned near Josey Lane.
Police said the driver of the truck was thrown from the vehicle and was taken by paramedics to Parkland Hospital.
The driver's identity and condition have not yet been released.
Dallas police added that another car was involved, but no one else was injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident and tell drivers to expect delays.
