Police say a Grapevine officer shot and killed Ruben Villalpando, 31, during a traffic stop Friday evening in Euless. [[293090681,L]]
The shooting was reported in the 2500 block of southbound state Highway 121, near Glade Road.
The reason for the shooting is unknown, but police said the officer shot Villalpando twice.
Villalpando was transported by air ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where he died at midnight.
Police said the officer was not injured. The officer's name has not been released.
Euless police are currently investigating.
