2-County Chase With Cab Ends, Driver in Custody

A two county chase involving a taxi cab ended in Terrell Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said officers originally tried to pull over an Alamo Cab Company cab driver for a traffic violation in Dallas County. When the driver didn't stop, the chase began.

The vehicle was heading eastbound on Interstate 20, where the chase then moved into Kaufman County.

Police were able to set up spike strips on the road, which the cab eventually ran over, causing one flat tire.

A short time later, the chase ended in Terrell, with the driver of the cab in custody.
