A Grand Prairie police officer was struck from behind by another vehicle while working a crash on Interstate 30 Monday afternoon.
The officer, who was not immediately identified, was parked on the freeway and waiting for a wrecker at a crash sit when he was hit.
Authorities said he was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
Grand Prairie police told NBC 5 they are currently investigating the incident.
