UT vs. OU: Battle of Unfortunate Media Guide Typos

Typos happen all the time, but a one-word error is generating a wave of jokes against the University of Texas at Austin.

The university's annual media guide had one very embarrassing mistake. The guide was released Thursday with a URL that misspelled "TexasSports.com" as "TexsaSports.com" in the footer of every single page.

UT's media team was quick to fix the error, but it was too late. Once it was on the Internet, users grabbed and shared screenshots, leading one Oklahoma fan to register the domain name texsasports.com and adorn the page with a message mocking the Longhorns' mistake.

However, the message, "OU IS BETTER THAN TEXAS. LEARN TO SPELL PLEASE, HRONS," was faced with a rebuttal from Texas fans who found a mistake in the 2012 OU media guide.

The Sooners misspelled "Academic" on the title of a page. The title instead read, "Acadmeic Success."
