Several people were hurt in a crash that closed the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway for nearly two hours Thursday evening.
The crash was reported just after 5 p.m. near Walnut Hill Lane.
Investigators said a black BMW sport utility vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the rear of another vehicle, causing a chain reaction that eventually damaged seven cars.
The driver of the BMW was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, and at least three other people were treated for injuries. All of the injuries were considered to be not life-threatening, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation, and no charges or citations have been issued.
