North Texas High Schooler Dies in Skydiving Accident

Bryant was a senior at Azle High School, where he played tuba in the marching band

A North Texas teen died in a skydiving accident in Colorado Sunday, the day before his 18th birthday.

Authorities in Fremont County were called to a field near Penrose, about 90 miles south of Denver, when skydiving company High Sky Adventures of Penrose reported the accident just after 10 a.m.

Bystanders and first responders attempted to revive the teen, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Family members and authorities identified him as Dayton Bryant of Azle.

Bryant played tuba in the school's marching band, The Dallas Morning News reported.
