Family of 20: Couple Adopts 13th Child

Five of Plano couple's kids are biological children

Richard and Laura Hind say they love watching children grow and succeed, and perhaps that's why they've adopted 13 children.

The Hinds added two sisters to their family on Thursday. The Plano couple has 18 children in all; five of them are biological children.

The first generation of their children, as they call them, are already grown and out of the house. Then, six years ago, the Hinds decided to start fostering children.

They said they never thought they would end up with 10 more kids. Their children range in age from 6 to 17.

They said housing 10 kids and a grandchild at one time is both emotionally and financially difficult, but the reward of seeing the children gain confidence and progress are priceless.
