We should all be accustomed to these this time of year -- but it's another No Refusal weekend in Dallas.
That means if you get pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving you will be given the option of providing a breath or blood sample. If you refuse, a warrant will be secured to take a blood sample to determine your blood-alcohol concentration -- the results of which will be used against you in court.
The idea is, of course, to encourage New Year's revelers who may choose to imbibe to not then get behind the wheel and drive home.
Be smart, take a cab or have a designated driver. The no refusal weekend begins Friday at 6 p.m. and ends Monday morning at 6 a.m.
