“No Refusal” Operation Kicks Off Friday for Memorial Day Weekend

Officers in Tarrant County will take part in a "No Refusal" operation over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

During the grant-funded operation, police will be out in force looking specifically for impaired drivers.

The operation will run from 9:30 p.m. Friday through 5:30 a.m. Monday.

All participating police agencies will use search warrants to take blood from drivers arrested for drunken driving who refuse a breath test.

Those arrested and charged during the "No Refusal" period will also have their names and ages published on the Tarrant County District Attorney's website.

Police often alert the public to "No Refusal" operations with the hope that awareness will result in fewer impaired drivers being on the roadway.
