Amtrak officials say none of the 46 passengers on a train that derailed in South Texas on Friday were hurt.
The train was headed from Chicago to San Antonio.
The San Antonio Express-News reports Saturday that Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole said the lead engine of the Texas Eagle train lost contact with the track about two miles from its scheduled stop at Sunset Station near downtown San Antonio.
Cole said passengers were provided with bus transportation to continue their trip.
The exit to South Alamo Street was blocked off so crews could work on the train.
Union Pacific, the host railroad, will evaluate the track for damages. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
