Nationwide High Chair Recall

The recall affects 35,000 Evenflo convertible high chairs

Reports of children falling from a popular high chair prompted the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to issue a nationwide recall on Tuesday.

The recall affects about 35,000 Evenflo convertible high chairs sold between December 2011 and June 2012 at Toys β€œR” Us and Walmart stores across the U.S. and online, also on Wayfair.com.

The recall involves high chairs that convert from high chair to toddler-size table and chair.

The Miamisburg, Ohio distributor warns that the activity tray on the high chair can detach without warning causing an unrestrained child to fall.

Evenflo has received 18 reports of trays detaching, including eight reports of children who fell and sustained bumps and bruises.

The recalled model numbers include 29111259, 29111271 and 29111234. The model number can be found on one of the high chair’s legs.

If you have one of these recalled high chairs contact Evenflo for a replacement tray with installation and instructions at (800) 233-5921 or visit them online.
