A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a Dodge SUV in Hurst Friday afternoon, police say.
The 59-year-old male, whose name has not been released yet pending family notification from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office, was driving westbound on State Highway 121 when the crash happened at 4:13 p.m., according to the Hurst Police Department.
The Dodge SUV was traveling in the far outside lane when the motorcycle ran in to the back of the vehicle, police said.
Police said witnesses told them the motorcyclist appeared to driving at a high rate of speed and was not wearing a helmet.
The four-lane highway was partially shut down to two lanes for around three hours.
Police said there are currently no criminal charges regarding the incident.
